This is my newest tattoo. It’s a painting by Marion Bolognesi of Bjork. Not to say I don’t like Bjork, but that’s not why I got the tattoo. She’s a beautiful woman, but I’m more a fan of the actual art. My best friend is getting a similar painting by her when she gets the money, so it’s kind of a matching tattoo thing. I’m an artist and since I find such a fascination in watercolor, I couldn’t pass up a chance to get this done.

My first tattoo! I got this for my 19th birthday at Spider Monkey tattoo in Olympia, WA by Isreal Caine. The handwriting featured is my mother’s handwriting. I surprised her with it, tricked her into writing it out on paper by saying it was for a painting I was going to be working on. She fought me tooth and nail before getting a tattoo, under the impression it was simply a Washington state outline. After the tattoo, I showed her and she began to cry with happiness. Now, I think she’s considering getting a tattoo herself. Funny how love and tattoos work together to open the mind’s of others.
